In this Sydney Flyer article, SFC instructor and flight examiner Bill Cooper has kindly shared a manuscript which he acquired from Bert Watson. Bert was a pilot in WW2 and went on to be a stalwart of local aero clubs in the Sydney area.
It’s a fascinating read, detailing how the adventures of an allied pilot during the war segued into aero-club postwar flying.
