Our experienced instructor trainer team will develop your skills as a pilot, presenter and Flight Instructor both on the ground and in the air. The SFC FIR syllabus involves scenario-based training where you will learn how to handle different types of student personalities and common errors.

A key component of the course is ground theory for the Principles and Methods of Instruction for the CASA PIRC Examination along with short classes on Threat and Error Management and an overview of the CASA Non-Technical Skills regulations to ensure you graduate the program as a well-rounded Instructor.

Top performers of the SFC FIR program are likely to be offered an interview with SFC for a role as a Grade 3 Flight Instructor. All Grade 2 and 3 instructors at SFC are graduates of this program.
