Chief Executive Officer
After 15 years as a hospitality business entrepreneur, Joseph embarked on his long-held dream of becoming a pilot. After graduating from SFC as a flight instructor, his potential was quickly recognised, with his passion for customer service and quality training leading him to the role of CEO in 2014. With knowledge of the aviation sector and its global demands, Joseph has placed SFC in a position to continue to expand for generations to come.
Head of Operations
A long-time flyer since he was just 14, Grant has been SFC’s Head of Operations since 2021. Having commenced his commercial flying career in 2013, Grant complements his rich flying experience with his strong customer service background, built from his extensive work in international hospitality. Grant’s passion for delivering the best learning experience for SFC’s students makes him a critical asset for a flight college focused on people first.

Operations Manager
Having gained a Commercial Pilot Licence in 2018, Murray’s flying career has seen him work in a variety of roles within SFC. From his first flight in 2010, Murray has contributed significantly to SFC, from his work in student support to his current role as Flying Instructor and Operations Manager. His storied experience makes him a valuable asset to the team, as well as a strong source of support for aspiring pilots and students.
Head of Ground Theory
A truly accomplished aviator, Ali is living proof that a good pilot never stops learning. Having spent 45 years flying for multiple international airlines, he has logged 23,000 flying hours on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft. With internationally recognised instructor qualifications, and a published author of his celebrated aviation stories, Ali brings extensive and enviable experience to SFC, making him the perfect choice as Head of Ground Theory.
Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Manager
A commercial pilot since 1983, Cam brings 28 years of Vocational Education and Training to SFC, further cementing the college’s place as Sydney’s premium flying school. Cam has gained professional experience in variety of fields, from five-star hotels around the world, national business, and has led other training professionals as a former head teacher. Combined with his passion of flight, he plays a key role as a board member, and anchors the college for its future growth.
Safety Manager
With a background in business management, Barry has made an impressive impact as SFC’s Safety Manager. Experienced in design, marketing, manufacturing and logistics, Barry has fused this expertise with general aviation for the past 16 years. He has worked in many roles, including flight instructor, charter pilot, lecturer, systems and manuals author and project manager. As Safety Manager, Barry contributes an independent view to keep SFC’s flying activities safe.
Head of Marketing
Having spent over 15 years in a successful business of commerce and people development, Raymond’s journey to aviation started later in life, becoming a student in SFC’s commercial pilot’s course in 2020. As a dynamic and creative person, Raymond’s unique skillset of uncovering opportunities to build relationships has led him to his role today. Still continuing his training, he has played a pivotal role in rebranding SFC, as well as creating programs and initiatives to educate the future of the aviation industry.
Head of Sales and Admissions
Over 15 years of experience in sales, customer service and people development has seen Angela build and perfect successful businesses. Understanding the motivations and barriers to client engagement, she utilises her talents to develop and implement successful sales strategies. Her unique set of skills, and ability to continuously identify best practice and exceptional leadership, drives the consistent growth and revenue that we see at SFC.
There is no minimum age to participate in these experiences, although persons under the age of 18 will require completion of a consent form by a parent or guardian.
The minimum height of participants is 140cm.
The maximum weight of participants 110kg.
Flights will be conducted in a four seat PA-28.
All flights are dependent on weather and aircraft serviceability. Should your flight be cancelled due to a reason beyond our control, you may re-book your experience for any time in the next 12 months at no additional cost.
This experience is for 1 person only.
No experience is required; you will be supervised by an expert instructor at all times.
Customers wishing to change the date or time of their booking greater than 48 hours prior to the booking start time can do so at no additional cost.

If a customer fails to arrive for the experience (a ‘No Show’) or is greater than 15 minutes late for the pre-arranged booking time (a ‘Late Arrival’) no refund will be given.
