Tamworth's flight training capabilities have received a million-dollar investment that has turned Tamworth Airport into one of the few places that offer classroom-to-cockpit airline pilot training.

Sydney Flight College (SFC) Pilot Academy Tamworth has announced the addition of the ALSIM Airliner Simulator to its training fleet, marking a major step forward in the organisation’s ability to deliver airline-focused pilot training in Australia.

The all new state of art ALSIM Airliner Simulator was officially opened today as the new addition of SFC Australia Pilot Academy Tamworth.

A new flight simulator has been unveiled in Tamworth, and is one of only two in Australia. Operating at the International Flight School, the high-tech aviation equipment will help upskill budding pilots.

Tamworth has received $5 million in NSW government funding to upgrade the International Flight Training facilities at the airport, bolstering Tamworth's position as a premier pilot training site.
